Wind farm in Serra de Seridó, state of Paraíba, owned by EDF Renewables, has been defined by the Ministry of Mines and Energy as a priority investment and independent energy producer with the installation of six wind farms expected to generate 190.6 MW of power, equipped with about 62 wind turbines. Construction on the wind farm is expected to begin in 2023 and conclude in 2024.

The Ministry of Mines and Energy also assigned responsibilities to Neoenergia, approving five more wind farms in the Oitis Complex, located in the cities of Dom Inocêncio and Casa Novas, both in the state of Piauí. The forecast is that the plants will generate a combined total of about 242 MW, with 44 generating units. The project, which aims to finalize by the end of 2022, will raise R$ 1.3 billion in resources and already counts with around R$ 134.5 million approved by Reidi.

In the state of Rio Grande do Norte, with the photovoltaic plant of Serrado do Mel II, with 20 MW of power through 20 new photovoltaic modules and an investment of R$ 67.6 million.
Last but not least, also in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the municipality of Pedro Avelino, the MME and Reidi approved the wind farm of Monte Verde VI, totaling R$ 230.5 million, excluding charges. The farm will feature eleven wind turbines, which together have the capacity to generate 46.2 MW of power.
