Installed at the Navship Shipyard in Navegantes, Santa Catarina, the super crane is the largest ever installed in Brazil, made by the Edison Chouest group
Last month, a super crane was installed by Estaleiro Navship, in the city of Navegantes, in the state of Santa Catarina, on the deck of the vessel Bongo. The crane was manufactured by NOV and is capable of lifting up to 85 tons. On board the vessel Bongo, the giant crane will assist two ROVs in underwater operations with a total depth of up to 3 meters.

All crane equipment arrived at the Port of Itajaí in August 2018 and was brought by the BBC XINGANG ship. After a complicated operation, the parts were transferred directly from the ship to the deck of the PSV Clipper Campos, transporting all the equipment upstream to the Navship Shipyard.
The Bongo, on the other hand, arrived at the Navship Shipyard earlier this year and began preparations for signing a new RSV (ROV Support Vessel) contract with Petrobras. In recent months, the ship has been moored, repaired and upgraded, and given two ROV installations and a large crane. In the final phase of the shipyard conversion, Bongo underwent a series of tests before heading to Rio de Janeiro.
With a reach of 42 meters when fully open and weighing a total of 300 tons, it is the largest crane in Brazil installed by the Edison Chouest group, making the Bongo one of the largest lifting vessels in the world. Bram fleet.
