Petrobras opened its selection process for opportunities in the Young Apprentice program this Monday (18), and in total, the company is offering 700 positions for inexperienced candidates in 25 municipalities across 15 states in Brazil. The oil company is looking for young people aged 14 to 22 years and three complete months. Candidates must be enrolled and attending their respective schools if they do not have a complete high school education. There are also opportunities in the selection process that are exclusively aimed at people with disabilities (PwD) and adolescents who are transitioning from the child labor market, as well as adolescents in institutional care.
Learn How the Petrobras Young Apprentice Program Will Work
In Petrobras’ Young Apprentice program, inexperienced candidates will receive training lessons and perform practical tasks at the National Service for Learning (Senai). In addition, participants will make technical visits to Petrobras facilities throughout Brazil.
The program plans to offer vocational courses and positions in the following areas: logistics assistant, IT support operator, administrative assistant, web programmer, production line assistant, welder, maintenance mechanic, hydraulic plumber, industrial electrician, installation of gas pipeline systems, and building electrician.

Inexperienced candidates who are approved in the recruitment and selection process will have to complete a learning journey of 4 hours per day, from Monday to Friday, for a period of 20 months, and will also be entitled to a minimum wage and other benefits such as vacation, 13th salary, transportation allowance, and optional supplementary pension plan. The registration of the special apprenticeship contract in the Work and Social Security Card will be done directly by Petrobras.

The selection process will be based on the average grades in Mathematics and Portuguese from the 2021 school report card. For candidates who have completed high school, the school records must be considered to determine this average. Click this link to apply.
If the candidate does not attach the school report card, the grade will be considered zero. The tie-breaking criteria will be: being a beneficiary of public social programs from the federal, municipal, or state government, being enrolled in elementary or high school in the public network, or having a certificate of high school completion from the public network.
