Now, Petrobras is awaiting the next operational stages of FPSO Almirante Barroso to commence oil exploration in the Búzios Field.
Learn More About the Búzios Field
With estimated reserves of 10 billion barrels, according to projections by consulting firm Wood Mackenzie, Búzios is among the seven largest offshore fields in the world. Brazil’s total reserves today are 15 billion. Moreover, it is a field already in production, with no geological risk. Production began in April 2018, and in just over a year, the field became the second largest in the pre-salt region, with 424,000 barrels of oil and gas per day.
