Even With Profit Loss, The Assaí Network Is Offering More Than 400 Job Openings And Will Open 40 New Stores

The Assaí wholesale network had a net profit of R$ 406 million in the fourth quarter of 2022, which represents a decline of 23% compared to the profit for the same period in 2021. However, even with this profit decrease, the company announced that it will open about 40 stores this year and is offering more than 400 job openings. It is important to analyze that the result of the profit comparison considers non-recurring effects on tax credits, especially in the period used for comparison. If these effects are disregarded, the net profit would have increased by 7.3%. In 2022, the net profit was R$ 1.2 billion, down 24% compared to 2021. With the same adjustment to the quarterly profit, the indicator would show stability compared to the previous year.
