Review Of The Result That Brought Six Drills Tied For First Place Did Not “Land” Well In The Market And Review By Petrobras Also Includes Drills That Were Left Out Of The First Result Released At The Beginning Of The Week

After Many Criticisms From The Market, Due To The Publication Of A Six-Way Tie In The Drill Pool Tender, Petrobras Decided To Review The Classification Of The Tender For One Or More Drills That Will Operate In 2,000 Meter Water Depth.
The New Classification Released By The Oil Company Brings The Semisubmersible Alpha Star, From Constellation, In First Place, With A Daily Rate Of US$ 136,000, An Amount That Does Not Take Into Account Mobilization.

But This Was Not The Only New Development In The Review Of The Result, The Brazilian Petroserv Had Two Of Its Drills, The Drillship Carolina And The Semisubmersible Victoria, Included In The New Classification List.
Now The New Classification Of The Remaining Equipment Is As Follows: (Daily Rates Of US$ 139,000)

The New Classification Released By Petrobras

  • 2nd And 3rd Places: Semisubmersible Gold Star And The Drillship Amaralina Star, From Constellation (Daily Rates Of US$ 139,000 And US$ 160,000, Respectively);
  • 4th Place: Norbe VI, From Ocyan (Daily Rate Of US$ 166,000);
  • 5th Place: Lone Star From Constellation (Daily Rate Of US$ 173,000/Day);
  • 6th Place: Catarina, From Petroserv (Ventura) (Daily Rate Of US$ 194,000/Day).

Petrobras Surprised With The Announcement Of The Drop From Second To Seventh Place Of The Drillship Laguna Star From Constellation, Followed By West Tellus, From Seadrill, In Eighth Place.
Carolina And Victoria (Petroserv) Took The Ninth And Tenth Places, In Front Of Deepwater Athena, From Transocean/Ocean Rig, And Noble Danny Adkins And Noble Jim Day, Both From Noble.

However, There Were No Significant Changes In The Level Of Daily Rates, Which Stood Around US$ 200,000, With Some Closer To The Ceiling Of US$ 300,000/Day.
Only The Offer From Noble, For The Noble Jim Day, Diverged From The Level With A Quotation Of US$ 415,000/Day.
