Revision of the result that brought six rigs tied for first place did not "fell" well in the market and review by Petrobras also includes rigs that had been left out of the first result released earlier in the week

After much criticism from the market, due to the publication of a sixfold tie, in the tender for the pool of rigs, Petrobras decided to review the bidding classification of one or more rigs that will operate in a water depth of 2 meters.
The new classification released by the oil company brings the semi-submersible rig Alpha Star, from Constellation, in first place, with a daily fee of US$ 136, a value that does not take into account mobilization.

But that was not the only novelty in the review of the result, the Brazilian Petroserv had two of its rigs, the drillship Carolina and the semi-submersible Victoria, included in the new classification list.
Now the new classification of the other equipment is as follows: (daily rates of US$ 139 thousand

The new classification released by petrobras

  • 2nd and 3rd places: semi-submersible Gold Star and drillship Amaralina Star, from Constelattion (daily rates of US$ 139 and US$ 160, respectively);
  • 4th place: Norbe VI, by Ocyan (daily rate of US$ 166 thousand);
  • 5th place: Constellation's Lone Star (daily rate of US$ 173/day);
  • 6th place: Catarina, from Petroserv (Ventura) (daily rate of US$ 194 thousand/day).

Petrobras surprised with the disclosure of the fall, from second to seventh position, of the drillship Laguna Star from Constellation, followed by West Tellus, from Seadrill, in eighth place.
Carolina and Victoria (Petroserv) took ninth and tenth places, ahead of Deepwater Athena, from Transocean/Ocean Rig, and Noble Danny Adkins and Noble Jim Day, both from Noble.

There were, however, no significant changes in the level of daily rates, which were around US$ 200, with some closer to the ceiling of US$ 300/day.
Only Noble's offer, for Noble Jim Day, escaped the threshold at US$ 415/day.
