The state-owned company reported that BR Distribuidora will be responsible for the logistics of delivery throughout Brazil. “The donation will be strategically important to ensure efficient logistics in the transportation of healthcare professionals, supplies, and patients, as well as maintaining field hospitals”, says a part of the statement released.
In total, Petrobras stated that it will allocate 30 million reais for donations to assist in combating the pandemic, including diagnostic test kits, masks, hygiene and safety materials, in addition to fuels.

Petrobras Announces Resumption of Sale of Its Stake in Gaspetro
The state-owned company announced on May 4 the resumption of the sale process of its remaining 51% stake in Gaspetro. The company had previously sold 49% of its interest to the Japanese Mitsui Gás e Energia do Brasil Ltda in December 2015 and intends to completely divest from the natural gas subsidiary.
The sale of the company’s stake in Gaspetro aims to optimize the company’s capital allocation as well as enhance value for the state-owned company’s shareholders, being part of the Brazilian oil company’s divestment strategy.
