Petrobras opens new tender for contracting FPSO of Jubarte, for Parque das Baleias, in Campos Basin after canceling on Friday

Petrobras said it will preserve the scope of the project, which provides for the relocation of wells between platforms in operation in 2022.

After cancel the tender for the Jubarte FPSO last Friday for Parque das Baleias, in the Campos Basin, Petrobras relaunched the offer this Monday (19/10). Parque das Baleias comprises the developing areas of Baleia Anã, Baleia Azul, Baleia Franca, Cachalote, Caxaréu, Mangangá, Pirambu and the Jubarte field, originating from block BC-60, in the Campos Basin.

Last Friday, in a statement, Petrobras said that due to the economic context in the face of the covid-19 pandemic, it decided to postpone the Integrated Project of Parque das Baleias by about a year, leaving the start of operations and first oil for 2024.

The oil company said, however, that it will preserve the scope of the project, which provides for the relocation of wells between platforms in operation in 2022.

The Petrobras platforms installed (P-74, P-75, P-76 and P-77) in well 7-BUZ-10-RJS in Campo de Búzios, located in the pre-salt area of ​​the Santos Basin, registered a record in volume of oil and natural gas produced last month.

According to the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP), around 69,6 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day were produced, the highest volume recorded by a single well in the entire Petrobras historical series.
