Petrobras announced last night, in a material fact, the signing of new multi-billion dollar long-term contracts estimated at R$16,5 billion with Braskem, for the supply of naphtha and ethane and propane. According to the statement from Petrobras, naphtha will serve the industrial unit in the state of São Paulo, while the supply of ethane and propane will be destined for the industrial unit in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Estimated at R$ 19 billion, the billionaire naphtha contract will come into force on the present date (23/12), after the termination of the current contract, and will be in force until December 31, 2025. The amount is up to 2 million tons per year.
According to Petrobras, the ethane and propane contract, worth an estimated R$7,6 billion, will come into force on January 1st of next year, after the current contract ends, and will also be in force for five years.
The contractual quantities of ethane and propane, together, are equivalent to Braskem's production of 580 thousand tons per year of ethylene.

The Brazilian oil company Petrobras announced on the afternoon of this day (22/12) in a material fact, that it confirmed the presence of excellent quality oil with the drilling of well 9-BUZ-48D-RJS, located in the extreme northwest of the Búzios field, in the Santos Basin.
According to the report, the well is located 188 km from the city of Rio de Janeiro and was drilled at a water depth of 1.850 meters. Tests carried out from a depth of 5.540 meters confirmed the presence of oil reservoirs of excellent quality.
