Over the last few years, the Portos do Paraná company has invested a total of R$80 million to guarantee improvements in the infrastructure of the cities close to the ports of Antonina and Paranaguá and to promote necessary works in the region.

Over the last 3 years, Portos do Paraná has invested BRL 80 million in infrastructure works in the cities of the region and, on Monday (20/06), commented on the importance of the project. Improvements in the infrastructure of nearby cities to the ports of Antonina and Paranaguá were essential to make the region more able to receive business and cargo flow operations.

Cities close to the ports of Antonina and Paranaguá received investments of R$ 80 million in infrastructure works by Portos do Paraná in recent years

Started in 2019, Portos do Paraná's investment project in urban infrastructure works in cities close to the ports of Antonina, Paranaguá and islands in the region, has already secured an investment of R$ 80 million for municipalities. Among the various works and improvements carried out in the cities, the main ones were the construction of a viaduct, recovery of streets and new warehouses, which guaranteed the necessary structure for a good commercial development in the region.

And, in addition to promoting a safer and more commercially efficient cargo route, the millionaire investment by Portos do Paraná also serves as a way to mitigate the negative impacts that the activity of the company's ports can bring to the region's communities.

In this way, the company has been working with the management of each city to ensure that the investment goes towards the works necessary for an adequate infrastructure in the region, enabling a good performance in the state of Paraná to guarantee an even better quality of life for the population.

Thus, the CEO of Portos do Paraná, Luiz Fernando Garcia, commented on the importance of investment in the region and on the impacts of infrastructure works in the cities: “The ports follow a series of laws and regulations that prevent the authority from port carry out improvement works outside the port area. But one of Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior's determinations was to find alternatives, through agreements with city halls and government bodies, to do whatever was possible, concentrating part of the investments in urban improvements”.

An investment of BRL 80 million has already secured essential infrastructure works for cities close to the ports of Antonina and Paranaguá

Within these almost 3 years of investments in infrastructure works in the port regions of the company from Paraná, several essential projects for the cities have already been completed. Among them is the Nelson Buffara viaduct, at the entrance to Paranaguá, where BR-277 divides between Ayrton Senna and Bento Rocha avenues, which received an investment of R$ 14,1 million in resources from the public company and delivered to the population at the end of 2019.

In addition to this, Avenida Bento Rocha, in the stretch from the bridge over the Emboguaçu River to the port avenue, also had strong infrastructure works and a investment of R$ 14,6 million for various improvements.

Among them is concrete paving, readjustment of the drainage system, new vertical and horizontal signage and a new bike path. The revitalization and expansion of the capacity of Avenida Ayrton Senna da Silva is also another major highlight of Portos do Paraná's investment in the region.

Now, the company invests in the recovery and revitalization of the main roads that give access to the pier and intends to continue applying capital to guarantee even more infrastructure works, aiming to contribute to the region of Paraná in a positive way, while taking advantage of the port capacity of the state.
