Started in 2019, the investment project of Ports of Paraná in urban infrastructure works in the cities close to the ports of Antonina, Paranaguá, and the islands of the region has already ensured an application of R$ 80 million for the municipalities. Among the various works and improvements made in the cities, the main ones were the construction of a viaduct, recovery of streets, and new piers, which ensured the necessary structure for good commercial development in the region.

Therefore, the CEO of Ports of Paraná, Luiz Fernando Garcia, commented on the importance of the investment in the region and the impacts of the infrastructure works in the cities: “The ports follow a series of laws and regulations that prevent the port authority from carrying out improvement works outside the port area. But one of the directives from Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior was to find alternatives, through agreements with the municipal governments and government agencies, to do what was possible, concentrating part of the investments in urban improvements.”
