Amid the oil crisis, Petrobras breaks record and exports 1 million barrels in April

Pre-salt oil and gas production exceeded 70% of national production

In July, for the first time, pre-salt oil and gas production exceeded 70% of national production, with approximately 2,738 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMboe/d). This corresponds to 70,26% of the total recorded in the country, which was 3,898 million boe/d.

Production had already been approaching 70% in the previous months. In June, it was 2,671 MMboe/d, equivalent to 69,9% of the national total and, in May, 2,363 MMboe/d, equivalent to 67,82% of the national total.

The Lula field, also located in the pre-salt layer, remained the largest producer of oil and natural gas, with an average daily production of 987.510 barrels of oil and 43,150 million m3 of natural gas. The P-76 platform, in the Búzios field, had the highest oil production per installation in July, with a daily average of 168.649,40 barrels. With only 4 producing wells, the production of P-76 was greater than the sum of what was produced by all 6.326 onshore wells.
