Opportunities for several vacancies in free distance learning courses in SP
The Municipality of Bertioga, on the coast of São Paulo (SP), has 130 vacancies open for free qualification courses with a grant of R$ 210. Registration for the free courses is now open and can be done until the 30th March, online.

The initiative is a partnership with the Government of the State of São Paulo. The short-term courses have live online classes in the Distance Learning model (EAD). Classes will start on April 4th.

Opportunities are for Cashier, Reception and Service, Basic IT, Assistant, Sales Techniques, with 20 vacancies for each, in addition to 30 vacancies for the Digital Marketing in Social Networks and E-commerce course.
According to the administration, to compete for free courses in SP, you must be 16 years old or older, live in Bertioga (SP) and meet the requirements for the chosen course. Those selected will be invited by email.
To be able to receive the scholarship, in a single installment, the participant must have at least 75% of attendance in classes, be unemployed, social security, social programs, or other scholarships from the Secretariat of Economic Development during the free courses. Each student may participate in up to two courses, however, the aid amount is not cumulative.

Growing demand for free distance learning courses
The current moment in which Brazil lives, with the expansion of the new Coronavirus pandemic, has made the distance learning modality one of the best options for continuing studies.
As a result, several companies have started or strengthened the provision of places for online courses.
In a survey carried out by Google, it was pointed out that the demand for distance learning specialization courses grew by 130% at the peak of the quarantine, around March last year.
Other surveys with traditional educational institutions also showed great growth, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), for example, showed a 400% growth in access to its free online courses, compared to the months of January and February 2020.
