5 Thousand Job Openings Announced By The Municipality Of São Paulo For Women With Incomplete Elementary To Higher Education Who Want To Work In Schools

Last Tuesday (02/16), the Municipality of São Paulo announced 5,000 job openings in the Operation Work Program – POT Back to School (positions for mothers), aimed at integrating women into the job market, where mothers of students from public schools or residents of communities are hired to work as school monitors. They will not replace professionals working at the units.

The purpose of the job openings is for them to work reinforcing health protocols and social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as schools reopen. Selected candidates will receive R$ 1,155 monthly for a work schedule of 30 hours per week, divided into six hours per day. The activity period will last six months, from February to July 2021.

The job openings are a partnership between the municipal departments of Education and Economic Development, Labor, and Tourism, and also focus on integrating mothers into the job market.

The investment in the project, developed through the Operation Work Program (POT), will be R$ 34.7 million. In-person classes in the municipal network resumed last Monday (02/15).

Requirements

  • Be between 18 and 50 years old;
  • Live in the city of São Paulo;
  • Have been unemployed for more than four months and not receiving unemployment benefits;
  • Have a family income of up to half a minimum wage per family member;
  • Have a regular CPF status with the Federal Revenue;
  • Submit a self-declaration of the absence of pre-existing diseases and not belong to high-risk groups for COVID-19. The invitation to submit documentation will be made via email and phone.

Activities

The women selected for the job openings will be responsible for monitoring compliance with social distancing rules, proper use of masks and hand sanitizer, supporting good hygiene and safety practices such as temperature checks, cleaning school equipment, and shared-use environments.

The selected women for the job openings above will be trained through an online course for their role. The training will be conducted by the Municipal School of Professional Education and Public Health Professor Makiguti, linked to the SMDET (Municipal Department of Economic Development, Labor, and Tourism).

Registration Until TODAY, February 18, 2021

Registrations for the job openings are being conducted at schools in the region where candidates reside through the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) or by clicking here. Candidates will be called to attend at scheduled times at the Cate offices to submit documents proving the hiring criteria such as ID, CPF, work card, and proof of residence.
