This Wednesday, January 18th, the Brazilian company Prime You, informs that it has just become the first Brazilian company to have a jet with the capacity to carry out flights to other continents in the shared ownership system.

This was the result of an investment of US$ 14 million, Prime You incorporated its portfolio of assets into the Embraer Legacy 650 and informed that it already has its three commercial quotas. The acquisition is part of its expansion of areas of evaluation and plans for the internationalization of the operation. The company intends to incorporate, over the next three years, six new executive jets: three Phenom 100 and three Phenom 300. There will be about two per year, and may even increase these numbers according to demand.

It is also likely that he has another Legacy 650, whose quotas can already be reserved. “Our investment in the aviation area amounts to US$ 92 million and represents an important advance towards the project of internationalizing the operation”, says Marcus Matta, CEO and founder of Prime You. “The plan is to expand our activities in this area. And we are preparing for that.”

Marcus Matta also makes an observation about the acquisition of the Legacy 650, confirming Prime You's pioneering spirit. “We became the only one in the luxury goods sharing area to have, in its portfolio, an aircraft capable of transcontinental flights”, he emphasizes. With the arrival of the Legacy 650, it will be possible to meet a large demand repressed by several intercontinental trips in aircraft exclusive. “After the peak of the pandemic, since the opening of international borders for Brazilian tourists, many people have returned to travel, but prioritizing conditions of greater safety, comfort and privacy. And, in this sense, executive aviation meets all these premises”, completes the founder and CEO of Prime You.

Being considered a long-range aircraft, with a flight range of up to 7.200 km, the Legacy 650 allows you to travel to other continents at a speed of around 850km/h. With this jet, it is possible to connect, non-stop, cities like São Paulo and Miami or New York to London. Its capacity is up to 13 passengers, in addition to the pilot and co-pilot.

Aircraft sharing model

In Prime You's operating system, Legacy 650 is also shared by three associates, who own about 1/3 of the asset each. The shareholder even has the right to use the jet, but for a minimum of 10 days a month, enjoying his international trip to the fullest. In addition to this quota value, the quota holder has a monthly fee to help cover fixed costs, and another fee for hours flown, towards fuel, lubricants and maintenance expenses.

Prime You has been taking care of the management of active members, such as hiring crew, property management, hangarage, among other points. “The incorporation of the Legacy 650 to the portfolio of assets translates the innovative DNA of Prime You, the first company in the market of shared ownership of executive aircraft, the first to be certified in accordance with the new RBAC 91 Subpart K, in July last year and the first to be qualified to offer the air taxi service”, completes Matta.
