Compagas and Its End of Cycle in Paraná
According to Rafael Lamastra Jr, CEO of Compagas, the company is finalizing a privatization cycle, and the Government signals with the renewal of the concession as provided by law. As a way to support and stimulate the development of industries in other regions, it is seen as inevitable that one of the established goals in this new arrangement will be the interiorization of the natural gas network.
The company’s network, which is in privatization, reaches up to Castro and has witnessed the strategic importance that the availability of natural gas is playing in the growth of industries, for example, those in Ponta Grossa. Thus, it makes complete sense, in a strategic government plan, to extend Compagas’s natural gas network further into the interior of the State.
