The Steel Producer, ArcelorMittal, is one of the leading companies in the national and global market and, in order to meet high demands, the company announced last Friday (22) the opening of 138 internship positions until May 8. The company’s program, named I AM Apprentice 2022, aims to promote the insertion of students already seeking qualifications at Senai into the job market. According to ArcelorMittal’s Recruitment Manager, Sílvia Gomes, this is also the Steel Producer’s contribution to professional training, providing the chance to align the theory learned in courses with practical experience at the company.

The available internship positions are for the units in Minas Gerais located in João Monlevade, Bela Vista de Minas, Sabará, and Juiz de Fora. The Steel Producer’s program also brings a new perspective to the business’s strategic goals.

According to Sílvia, the expectation is that candidates choose ArcelorMittal to kick off their professional careers. In its recruitment processes, for example, the company considers not only technical skills but also cultural fit, emotional skills, and diversity and inclusion.

The selection process will take place in 7 stages, which are: applications, online general knowledge and current affairs tests, online interview or video interview, online group dynamics, visit to ArcelorMittal, company’s selection, and program start. Those selected for the internship positions must work 30 hours a week, with a hybrid load between theory and practice, including training courses conducted by Senai.

At the end of the Steel Producer’s program, participants will have more than 2,000 hours of training for professional development.
