Products with Discounts in Pronaf: Onion, Potato, and Cowpea Beans Among the Largest Bonuses
The highest discount percentages were recorded in onions, with 70.31% in São Paulo and 65.62% in Paraná.
The cowpea beans marketed in Amapá also received attention, reaching 64.92%, while the potato from Paraná had 59.65%, and honey from Rio Grande do Sul had 54.52% in bonuses.
These indices of products with discounts in Pronaf reflect the difference between the commercialization value and the guarantee price, defined by Conab.
When the market price falls below the minimum stipulated, the producer receives the benefit to compensate for the loss.
This measure ensures competitiveness and economic stability for family farmers, especially during periods of harvest and market fluctuations.
In addition to the items mentioned, the list of products with discounts in Pronaf includes acai (Acre), garlic (Minas Gerais and Goiás), banana (Pernambuco), milk (Maranhão), corn (Bahia and Maranhão), wheat (Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Goiás, and Mato Grosso do Sul), among other regional products that drive the rural economy.
How Pronaf and PGPAF Strengthen Family Producers in 2025
The National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf) is one of the main support tools for small rural producers, with credit lines aimed at implementing, expanding, and modernizing productive structures.
The PGPAF, in turn, acts as a safety net, granting bonuses whenever the market value falls below the minimum guarantee price.
The production costs, elaborated by Conab, are used as a calculation basis to determine the discount percentages, ensuring transparency and equity in the granting of benefits.
This public policy reinforces the economic security of farming families and directly contributes to internal supply, job creation, and the appreciation of regional crops.
The bonuses on products with discounts in Pronaf are valid from October 10 to November 9 and represent another step in the government’s efforts to support sustainable agriculture, as well as strengthen ties between rural and urban areas, encouraging the consumption of food produced by small farmers.
