Due to the current scenario caused by the coronavirus, many companies have adopted remote work, known as home office, for their employees. This measure, for many of them, becomes effective in fulfilling projects and tasks that cannot be done in person. A study conducted by André Miceli, a professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), states that remote work is expected to grow by 30% after the coronavirus crisis.

“Home office has already proven effective. In addition to that, you take cars off the street, relieve public transportation, mobilize the economy in a different way. And you allow people to have more time to take care of their health and enjoy things that give them pleasure without having a reduction in deliveries and revenue,” he stated.
André points out that communication must be centralized in specific channels so that clear instructions about procedures remain part of the routine for employees, clients, and consumers. “The adoption of agile methodologies also allows for a quicker response to the new challenges of daily life. The process of analysis, reorganization, and decision-making needs to keep pace with the rhythm of changes,” André said.
