EAD First Aid Course Enrollment Extended. Don’t Miss This Opportunity To Get Trained In First Aid And Ensure A Safer School Environment!

The Federal Institute of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSuldeMinas) made a crucial decision that could impact safety in schools across the country.

If you are a teacher or staff member at an educational institution and have not yet enrolled in the EAD First Aid course, this is your opportunity!

The deadline has been extended, and the course could be the differentiator you need to save lives in the school environment.

But what makes this opportunity unmissable? Keep reading to discover all the details and secure your spot in this free course that also offers certification recognized by the MEC.

Details of the EAD First Aid Course: Enrollment Extended!

According to public notice No. 235/2024, published on October 7, 2024, the enrollment deadline for the first aid course in the school environment has been extended until October 25, 2024.

Previously, the deadline was October 22, but IFSuldeMinas decided to give more time for teachers and staff at educational institutions, public and private, to enroll.

With the 100% distance learning format, the course offers flexibility for education professionals to gain qualifications without leaving home.

The course has a total workload of 120 hours, divided among essential subjects for emergency situations in schools. The modules include:

  • Basic Skills for the Work World – 10 hours
  • Introduction to First Aid – 10 hours
  • Seizures and Fainting – 15 hours
  • Burns/Injuries – 15 hours
  • Choking in Adults and Children – 15 hours
  • Respiratory Arrest – 15 hours
  • Cardiac Arrest – 15 hours
  • Cardiopulmonary Arrest – 15 hours
  • Transporting the Injured – 10 hours

With this extension of the deadline, 2,000 spots are available, representing a significant increase compared to the 300 spots in 2023, a testament to the growing demand and importance of first aid training.

How To Secure Your Spot?

Those interested must complete the electronic enrollment form by October 25.

If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, an electronic raffle will be held to select the participants.

If the number of applications is equal to or less than the spots, all applicants will be automatically enrolled.

This ease of enrollment, coupled with the fact that the course is completely free and online, further enhances its attractiveness.

Those working in early childhood or basic education now have another chance to specialize in first aid, a skill that is increasingly relevant, especially after the Lucas Law.

Lucas Law: The Motivation Behind Training

The importance of first aid training has significantly increased with the Lucas Law (Federal Law No. 13,722/2018), which mandates schools and early childhood recreation establishments to train their teachers and staff to act in emergencies, such as choking, cardiopulmonary arrests, and other accidents that may occur with children and adolescents.

According to experts, this training is essential to increase the chances of survival in critical situations, often preventing minor incidents from turning into tragedies.

According to data from the educational sector, institutions that have already adopted this training report a safer and more peaceful environment.

Who Can Enroll in the First Aid Course?

The course is designed for teachers and staff of schools working in early childhood and basic education, both public and private.

The main objective is to train these professionals to deal with emergency situations in the school day-to-day, minimizing risks and saving lives.

According to IFSuldeMinas, the focus is on preparing participants to quickly recognize risk situations and effectively and safely apply first aid before specialized help arrives.

Training To Save Lives: Why You Can’t Miss It?

Training in first aid is more than a legal requirement: it’s a matter of responsibility for the safety of students.

Having trained professionals ready to act in emergencies can mean the difference between life and death, and this directly reflects on the well-being of the children and adolescents under their supervision.

With the MEC-recognized certification, professionals who complete the course will be better prepared and qualified to perform their duties with greater safety.

Moreover, this is an excellent opportunity for professional development, with a comprehensive curriculum focused on the key emergencies that may occur in the school environment.

Unmissable Opportunity: There’s Still Time To Participate!

If you work in education and want to be prepared to face emergencies, don’t miss this chance! Enrollment has been extended, but time is running out.

Secure your spot by October 25 and be among the 2,000 selected to join this new class. Remember: training in first aid is essential to ensure a safe school environment. Click here to enroll!
