How The Distribution Of Places Works
The selection process for the Software Engineering course at UFMT offers 150 positions, which are distributed among five educational poles.
This distribution is strategic to ensure that the course reaches different parts of the state and that more people have the opportunity to study without having to travel to the capital.
The positions are organized as follows:
- A Água Boa: 30 positions
- Cuiabá: 30 positions
- Pontes e Lacerda: 30 positions
- Primavera do Leste: 30 positions
- Sorriso: 30 positions
The selection process follows the inclusion policy, with reserved quotas for self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola candidates, people with disabilities, and public school students with proven low income.
This criterion aims to ensure more equity in access to higher education, promoting diversity within the course and enabling more people to have access to quality education.
Requirements To Participate In The Selection Process
Those interested in participating in the selection process for the Software Engineering course at UFMT must meet some basic requirements.
Among them, the need to have a high school diploma or equivalent is highlighted.
In addition, candidates for affirmative action vacancies must present specific documentation at the time of registration.
Registration for the selection process is open until March 19, 2025, which means that the deadline is approaching quickly.
The registration fee is R$ 90.00, but there is the possibility of exemption for those who meet the low income criteria.
Candidates who fit this profile can request the exemption until February 28, 2025, by presenting the required documentation in the public notice.
Selection Criteria: How The Evaluation Works
The selection process will be conducted based on the analysis of the High School Academic Record or the ENEM scores from the last ten editions.
Candidates will be ranked by the average scores in Portuguese Language and Mathematics, with additional points for other areas if the ENEM was taken in more recent years.
In case of a tie, additional criteria will be considered, such as age and the score obtained in the Portuguese subject.
This ensures that the process is fair and takes into account different aspects of the candidates’ performance.
