About Cederj
The Cederj Consortium, managed by the Cecierj Foundation and linked to the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, is one of the most important initiatives for access to quality higher education in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Founded with the aim of offering distance higher education, Cederj provides undergraduate and graduate courses in partnership with some of the best universities in the state, such as UFRJ, UERJ, UFF, CEFET/RJ, and others. The semi-presential modality allows students from various cities the opportunity to study in excellent courses without having to commute daily.
Currently, Cederj has 43 centers spread throughout the state, offering a complete infrastructure for pedagogical support and in-person activities of semi-presential courses. This facilitates access for students who live far from large centers and who often would not have the opportunity to attend a degree program at a public university. The provision of free courses and digital inclusion resources are examples of Cederj’s commitment to education and regional development.
