Registrations Open for Free Courses at the Federal Institute! There Are 690 Spots for Young People from Across RN Who Dream of Qualifying.

The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) has announced the opening of registrations for 690 spots in free courses aimed at professional qualification for young people. This opportunity is an excellent chance for those looking to develop technical skills and prepare for the job market. Registrations started on Wednesday, (18), and will run until October 9.

Requirements Established by the Federal Institute

The free courses at the Federal Institute are intended for young people between 16 and 29 years old at the start of classes. However, there are some specific requirements for certain programs.

For example, for courses that require more advanced technical knowledge, such as Renewable Energy Systems Electrician, candidates must be at least 18 years old.

In addition to age, it is necessary for interested individuals to be registered in the Federal Government’s Unique Registry and to have completed elementary education.

These requirements aim to ensure that students have a minimum knowledge base to fully benefit from the courses offered.

Available Free Courses at the Federal Institute

The courses will be offered at various campuses of IFRN, covering different areas of study. Here are some of the available courses:

  • Apodi Campus: Operator of Agricultural Machinery and Implements (200 hours), Tour Guide in Conservation Units (200 hours).
  • Caicó Campus: Renewable Energy Systems Electrician (200 hours), Digital Media Application Developer (240 hours), Computer Assembler and Repairer (200 hours).
  • Mossoró Campus: Building Maintenance Assistant (200 hours), Renewable Energy Systems Electrician (200 hours).
  • Natal Campus: Audio Recording and Editing Operator (240 hours), Cultural Agent (200 hours), Salesperson (200 hours).

In addition to the listed courses, the Federal Institute also informs that the Agricultural Machinery and Implements Operator course is specifically aimed at young people from family farming.

To enroll and compete for the open spots, candidates must present a declaration of association with a family farming union or cooperative.

How to Enroll?

To participate and compete for the spots, interested individuals must access the Jovem Potiguar website, where the registration form is available.

The Federal Institute’s process is entirely online and requires candidates to fill in information such as full name, CPF, cellphone number, and email.

It is essential for candidates to also declare, when applicable, if they have completed elementary school, if they are former students from the socio-educational system, and if they identify as transgender.

The list of pre-registered individuals and the results of the selection process will be announced on October 22, also through the Jovem Potiguar project page.

This transparency aims to ensure that all interested parties have access to information and keep track of the registration process.

The Jovem Potiguar Project

The Jovem Potiguar project is an initiative involving the IFRN, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, and the State Secretariat for Women, Youth, Racial Equality, and Human Rights (SEMJIDH).

The project’s goal is to serve up to 1,500 young people, promoting professional qualification and skill development.

This is the first phase of the project, which aligns with the Manuel Querino Program, aimed at developing social and professional qualification actions.

The courses not only aim to prepare young people for the job market but also provide political training and promote creative life projects.

Thus, Jovem Potiguar aims to contribute to the holistic formation of participants, facilitating access and continuity in the workforce.

With the opening of registrations, the Federal Institute reaffirms its commitment to education and social inclusion, offering opportunities that can transform the lives of many young people in Rio Grande do Norte.

For more information about the courses and the enrollment process, interested individuals should visit the official website of the Federal Institute and the Jovem Potiguar project.
