Renault, the famous global automaker, announces the triumphant return of one of the most popular cars in the Brazilian market. The Renault Clio 2024 promises a confirmed resurrection after 7 years. The compact receives its mid-life redesign for the fifth generation, featuring a new design used in the latest releases of SUVs, such as the Espace and Austral.

The model has received significant changes, especially at the front, where it features thinner headlights accompanied by lines at the bottom and a very wide, dotted grille. The daytime running lights in LED appear not only with the bar at the top of the headlights but also in the lines extending toward the bumper, in a piece shaped like half of a diamond, the company’s logo.
At the rear, Renault opted for clear taillights for the Renault Clio 2024, something that is no longer so common. The diffuser on the rear bumper may differ depending on the version and whether it has a standard or hybrid engine.

The interior of the Renault Clio 2024 is also different, still supporting its design with the use of a vertical screen for the multimedia center, which can be either 7 or 9.3 inches, featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The instrument panel is fully digital, with a display of 10 or 7 inches, depending on the version. Among the equipment, Renault highlights the 360º camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and 18 other driving aids.

With Euro 7 regulations approaching each year, Renault is betting on a 1.0 SCe three-cylinder engine with 65 horsepower. Just above will be the 90-horsepower turbo. However, the highlight will be the 1.6 hybrid with 145 horsepower, combined with a pair of electric motors and a set of 1.2 kWh batteries. Interestingly, it will still offer a diesel option, even though Renault is moving away from this fuel, with a 1.5 engine producing 100 horsepower. Lastly, it will include a 1.0 turbo powered by compressed natural gas.
While the Renault Clio changes in Europe, Renault has other plans for Brazil. The automaker is working on a new compact SUV, which appeared in registration images in the country, and the brand is even considering reviving the Clio name for the model. The expectation is that it will be presented still in 2023.
