The dimensions of the series are 32 meters in length, 11.6 meters in beam, 5.43 meters in depth, and 4.10 meters in draft. Maximum speed of 12.5 knots.
The Starnav Alpha is the eighth tugboat delivered by the Detroit shipyard. The eight tugboats of the Starnav series were financed by the Merchant Navy Fund (FMM) at a cost of US$ 80 million and built by the Detroit shipyard in Itajaí (SC), with BNDES as the financial agent.
With the delivery of the Starnav Alpha, Starnav reaches a number of 30 tugboats with azimuthal technology in partnership with Camorim.
