“When you install solar energy in a home, the entire supply system is helped because it reduces consumption, and what ‘remains’ is fed back to the grid, reducing the burden on the transmission network, as well as, of course, a considerable reduction in the bill.”
Solar Market Expansion In Brazil: Historical Data Reinforces Trend
The year 2024 marked a historical record in the import of photovoltaic modules.
According to the consultancy Greener, Brazil brought in 20.19 GW of solar equipment—the largest volume ever recorded. This number confirms the growing appetite of Brazilians for a cleaner and safer energy matrix.
Companies in the sector are following this wave of growth. Drystore, specializing in solar solutions, reported a 73% increase in sales in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
The numbers jumped from R$ 499.2 thousand to R$ 777.8 thousand—a result that reveals not only the sector’s expansion but also consumer confidence in the technology.
