Launched In China With Up To 700 Km Of Range, The Xpeng GP Electric SUV Features Ultra-Fast Charging And Unique Power
In China, a new electric SUV model has shown strength in the market. It is the Xpeng G9, a model that will hit stores next month, and has several attributes such as good interior space, ample range, and an excellent level of equipment. However, the manufacturer claims that the electric car has the fastest charging in the world, and that is why it has been admired worldwide.
The Xpeng electric SUV bets on a modern look, extremely aligned with the design language that the brand has adopted. The front has the pattern known as ‘X Robot Face’, which features a narrow LED light strip, along with two light blocks on each side. The electric SUV is mid-sized, with space for 5 occupants. Additionally, the XPeng G9 has a low drag coefficient of 0.27 Cd, measuring 4,891 mm in length and a wheelbase of 2,998 mm.
The interior of the Xpeng G9 exudes simplicity but is equipped with high-tech features. Among them, we can count on a sound system that allows for up to 22 optional Dynaudio speakers or 8 standard speakers. Furthermore, it boasts two large screens, one of 10.25” in the instrument cluster and a dual screen in the central part. In total, there are two 14.96” screens equipped with the X-mart 4.0 system, in addition to a Qualcomm 8155 processor.

Other features in the electric SUV include two cushions for wireless charging and two cup holders in the center tunnel. The car also dispenses with physical buttons, as most functions can be activated by touch screens or voice commands. The G9 also features an autonomous driving system XPILOT 4.0, which includes 31 sensors, being 2 LiDARs and 5 mm wave radars – featuring an NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot), an autonomous driving system that allows the vehicle to drive itself on the road.
Electric SUV Guarantees Power And Range
The electric SUV entered the market with two power variants: the road version with rear-wheel drive and a single motor with 313 hp and 43.8 kgfm of maximum torque, and a second model with all-wheel drive and dual motor that encompasses 543 hp and 73.1 kgfm. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 78.2 kWh LFP battery, which ensures a range of 570 km (CLTC). The rear-wheel drive RWD variant has a long-range version, equipped with a 98 kWh battery for a range of 702 km. In the other model, the battery is the same but with a limited range of 650 km. In its entry-level version, the electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, maintaining that level at 3.9 seconds in the top model. In both cases, the top speed of the vehicle is limited to 200 km/h.

Currently, Xpeng is in the process of installing 480 kW charging stations, which allow the G9 to recover from 10 to 80% of battery state in just 15 minutes.
