With New Multimedia Center and Competitive Price, the Entry-Level Version of Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 Stands Out for Comfort and Cost-Effectiveness, but Foregoes Some Equipment to Compete with Lower-Category SUVs.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 has established itself as one of the most interesting options for those seeking a mid-sized SUV, but at a price that directly competes with high-end compact models. The version, which started as a limited edition and became an entry-level option in the brand’s portfolio, is one of the main reasons for the 19% increase in Mitsubishi’s sales in 2024.

According to the first evaluations of the 2026 model, the great asset of the Eclipse Cross Rush is to offer the comfort, space, and reliability of a mid-sized SUV at a much more aggressive price. The analysis of its technical specifications and equipment reveals how Mitsubishi managed to create a car with such strong cost-effectiveness.

What is the Rush Version? The Gateway to the Eclipse Cross

The Rush version was Mitsubishi’s strategy to make the Eclipse Cross more competitive. By removing some convenience features, the brand was able to position its mid-sized SUV at a compact SUV price.

The suggested price for the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 is R$ 169,000. This price places it in the same price range as high-end versions of models like the Hyundai Creta, VW T-Cross, and Chevrolet Tracker.

The Heart 1.5 Turbo: Performance and Consumption in Practice

Medium or Compact SUV Disguised? What the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 Delivers and What it Lacks to Cost Less

The Eclipse Cross is powered by a 1.5 turbo four-cylinder engine, fueled only by gasoline, delivering 165 horsepower and 25.5 kgf·m of torque. It works in conjunction with a CVT automatic transmission, which simulates eight gears.

The performance is adequate for the car’s purpose. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 195 km/h. According to INMETRO data, the fuel consumption is 10.3 km/l in the city and 11.3 km/l on the highway.

The Big News of 2026: The New Multimedia Center

The main update of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 is its new multimedia center. The model now comes with a 10.25-inch screen, which offers wireless mirroring for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a feature that modernizes the interior and improves connectivity.

The more expensive versions of the Eclipse Cross come with an even larger, 12.3-inch screen and offline navigation maps.

Comfort and Space: The Strong Points That Stand Out in the Category

Two strong points of the Eclipse Cross are comfort and interior space. It features a multi-link independent rear suspension, a more sophisticated architecture than most of its competitors, ensuring greater stability and comfort while driving.

The trunk has a capacity of 473 liters, and the rear seat has an adjustable backrest angle, which improves comfort for passengers on long trips.

The Sacrifices for the Price: What Does the Rush Version Lack?

To reach the competitive price of R$ 169,000, Mitsubishi had to make some concessions in the Rush version’s equipment list.

  • Does not have keyless entry (the ignition is through a key).
  • Does not have electronic parking brake (it’s lever-operated).
  • Does not have automatic headlight activation or automatic windshield wipers.
  • Does not have advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, which are present in more expensive versions.

Who is the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 Worth It For?

YouTube Video

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026 is the ideal choice for consumers who value interior space, driving comfort, and the mechanical reliability of a mid-sized SUV, but do not care about a long list of technologies and convenience items.

It offers the robustness and stature of a car from a higher category, with the price of a well-equipped compact SUV. It is undoubtedly one of the most interesting options in terms of cost-effectiveness in the Brazilian market.

And you, what do you think about the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Rush 2026? Do you believe that comfort and space compensate for the more limited equipment list? Leave your opinion in the comments.

Confiabilidade, design, imagem projetada e conforto são os itens que valorizam e definem a opção pelo veículo.
