The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul has opened registrations for free online courses from Class 2026A on its massive course platform, offering training in the area of Education and certification for those who meet the requirements within the deadline.
The training is open to the public, occurs entirely remotely, and can be completed by July 31, 2026, according to the rules published by IFRS itself.
Free EAD courses from IFRS with certificate
The proposal includes free extension courses with self-instructional organization, without live classes and without tutoring support, allowing participants to progress according to their own schedule.

The program for Class 2026A also includes longer courses aimed at the administrative and pedagogical routine of schools.
School Assistant, School Secretary Assistant, Pedagogical Assistant, and School Manager appear with a workload of 200 hours and a minimum deadline of 28 days for obtaining the certificate.
There is also space for content aimed at Youth and Adult Education.
The course Education of Youth and Adults Integrated with Professional and Technological Education has 100 hours and a minimum deadline of 14 days, focusing on integrated curriculum, assessment, inclusion, retention, and academic success.
This variety helps explain why the IFRS platform includes everything from introductory courses to more robust pathways for continued professional qualification.
In all consulted cases, the indicated methodology is the same: course without tutoring, with materials available in the virtual environment and a requirement for reading in Portuguese.
Basic knowledge is also required to access PDF files and use audio and video resources on the computer.
Free certificate from IFRS and rules for completion
IFRS informs that its massive courses are free, 100% online, open to the public, and with a certificate for approved graduates within the deadline.
The issuance is not automatic for those who merely register. The document is available to the student who meets all academic requirements of the course during the offering period.
Another important point is that these courses do not equate to technical courses, undergraduate, or postgraduate degrees.
Still, IFRS itself classifies the training as free courses, completely free of charge.
There is no limit to the number of courses for the participant, who can take as many as desired, as long as they observe the deadlines for each class.
How to register for free courses from IFRS
To enroll in one of the courses, the interested party must first create an account in the IFRS virtual environment and confirm the account via email.
Then, they should access the area of open online courses, choose the desired training, and click on “I want to enroll”.
According to the institution’s guide, enrollment is done directly on the platform, without a selection process. The course can be started immediately afterward.
For Brazilians, registration involves personal CPF and email, in addition to the minimum technical requirements for navigation, reading PDF, and using a computer with audio and video resources.
