TechnipFMC Spool Base Inaugurated at Porto do Açu with Supply Capability to Mero Field
TechnipFMC has officially inaugurated its new spool base (Simultaneous Peripheral Operations On-line) in Brazil, located at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra (RJ), situated in the northern Fluminense region. The spool operations by TechnipFMC at Porto do Açu will officially begin in March, with the commencement of the supply contract for the Mero 1 field project by Petrobras.

The agreement between TechnipFMC and Petrobras regarding the Mero 1 field at Porto do Açu was finalized between US$ 500 million and US$ 1 billion, covering engineering, procurement, and construction of all fixed lines, such as installation and pre-commissioning of the entire internal riser and flowline system to interconnect 13 wells to the FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) Guanabara, which will be installed in the Mero field.
