More Details About the Terminal Under Construction at the Port of Maceió
With a total area of 1,668.13 m², the project has an investment of R$ 5.7 million from the Union. The construction contract for the structure at the Port of Maceió, located in the state of Alagoas, includes the preparation of the basic and executive project, and the execution of the work. The estimate is that the terminal will have the capacity to receive up to 2,000 passengers per day.
The space that is under construction will have all the infrastructure for the reception of visitors disembarking from cruises, including an area designated for customs processing, allowing tourist ships to depart from Maceió directly to Europe, and vice-versa, venturing into the international market. During the visit, Tarcísio also highlighted that in December, there are plans for three more ships to dock at the Port of Maceió, opening the scenario for the city to officially join the cruise route with the necessary structure for visitors.

Attracting Investments to the State.
“The Bolsonaro government is bringing the logistics that the state needs for tourism, after all, everyone needs to know the potential that Alagoas has. Here lies the most beautiful coast in Brazil, so this scenario needs to be shared with the whole world. Those who live abroad deserve to know the wonders that Alagoas has to offer,” said the minister.
Senator Fernando Collor (PROS) and Deputy Arthur Lira (Progressives), President of the Federal Chamber, were part of the delegation that accompanied the minister on the inspection of the works at the Port of Maceió, and in other agendas across the state, all related to works involving investments from the Federal Government. For Senator Collor, the new passenger terminal at the Port of Maceió will ‘explode’ tourism in the state. “We will receive a greater flow of people to know our state, our beaches, our cuisine, our handicrafts. So, this means that two thousand passengers per day will have their access facilitated with tranquility, with all the efficiency of the team involved in reception. For us, Alagoans, it is a gift, and we have to thank the Bolsonaro government and Minister Tarcísio, who have shown sensitivity to all claims regarding the infrastructure of our country,” emphasized Collor.
Read This News As Well: The Port of Suape Will Receive R$ 1.2 Billion in Investments for the Construction of a New LPG Terminal in Pernambuco.
Governor Paulo Câmara announced that the Port of Suape, located in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho in Pernambuco, will have a new Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) terminal, the cooking gas. The projected investment is R$ 1.2 billion, and it is expected to generate about a thousand jobs during the construction.
The new terminal at the Port of Suape will feature a 90,000 cubic meters infrastructure unit for storage, as well as the installation of pipelines to move the raw material and make logistical connections. The difference lies in the technology, unprecedented in Brazil, in which the gas is stored in refrigerated conditions, occupying a reduced volume that allows for increased stock capacity. The expectation is that the terminal, covering 60,000 square meters, will handle about 1.5 million tons of LPG annually.
Paulo Câmara emphasizes that the new LPG terminal will generate jobs and income, and is yet another fundamental infrastructure hub for the growth of the State. He says they are very confident that, even with the pandemic, they will be able to move forward and continue making Pernambuco an increasingly better place to invest, with good jobs and quality of life.
