Ternium, the largest flat steel producer in Latin America, has a plant that generates 8 thousand jobs in the west zone of Rio, managed to return to the same levels of sales of steel plates produced in Brazil in the period before the pandemic.

Despite having registered a 37% drop in activities at the height of the pandemic in April, the company has already recovered the numbers for 2019. The Ternium plant in Brazil has an installed capacity to produce 5 million tons of steel plates per year and has main customers in the US, Mexico and Brazil.
