Meet the Lexus LY680: Immerse yourself in luxury with 2.700 Volvo HP, avant-garde design, and maximum comfort for 15 passengers
When we think of Lexus, we think of luxury cars of Japanese origin. hybrid cars High technology which stand out for their construction quality, as well as their efficient mechanics. But the reality is that Lexus has been selling ultra-luxury yachts in small quantities for years, at prices as astronomical as their buyers' fortunes. His latest creation is called the Lexus Luxury Yacht LY680, and is the evolution of the LY650, presented by Lexus at the end of 2019.
Production of the LY680 will be carried out by Horizon Group, a Taiwanese shipyard specializing in ultra-luxury superyachts. The LY650 was manufactured in the USA by Marquis Yachts, a company now bankrupt. The new LY680 is 20,66 meters long and is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 15 passengers inside. Inside there are three cabins with six beds. Its interior is more reminiscent of a luxury apartment than a boat.. Wood, leather, designer beds, huge windows, spacious lounges…
It weighs around 40 tons and measures almost 21 meters in length, but does not reach the superyacht category.
The greatest luxury imaginable in a yacht of its size – it is not a superyacht, it has more compact dimensions – is present in the Lexus LY680. The yacht's central platform has been extended by 1,4 meters, with a new larger sofa and an integrated barbecue. The rear platform – from where we can launch ourselves into the water or “anchor” a jet ski – has also grown by 70 cm in length. The bridge continues to enjoy a privileged position, with more sofas, sun beds and its own roof.

The boat's design is inspired by the L-finesse design language, with smooth lines, color contrasts and overall a very avant-garde appearance. The selection of hull colors and materials makes it clear that we are dealing with an ultra-luxury product. The propulsion of this LY680 is powered by two Volvo Penta mechanics. Two in-line six-cylinder D13 turbodiesel engines, 12,8 liters of displacement and up to 1.350 HP of unit power. In other words, in total, this yacht can develop an impressive 2.700 HP.
It is now available to order, but only in the Japanese market.
Your sale on other markets will be evaluated based on the interest generated. The LY650, equipped with 1.050 HP engines, was already capable of reaching 63 km/h on water. To power these mechanics, the fuel tank has an impressive capacity of 4.012 liters. If you have to ask about the price of this luxury yacht... it's because it's not for you. But if curiosity is great, Lexus asks five million dollars for the LY680.
