Meet the Lexus LY680: Immerse Yourself in Luxury with 2,700 HP Volvo, Avant-Garde Design, and Maximum Comfort for 15 Passengers
When we think of Lexus, we think of luxurious cars of Japanese origin. Innovative hybrid cars of high technology that stand out for their construction quality, as well as their efficient mechanics. However, very few would think of recreational vessels. But the reality is that Lexus has been selling ultra-luxury yachts in small quantities for years, at prices as astronomical as the fortunes of their buyers. Their latest creation is called the Lexus Luxury Yacht LY680, and it is the evolution of the LY650, introduced by Lexus at the end of 2019.
The production of the LY680 will be carried out by Horizon Group, a Taiwanese shipyard specialized in ultra-luxury superyachts. The LY650 was manufactured in the USA by Marquis Yachts, a company that is now defunct. The new LY680 is 20.66 meters long and is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 15 passengers inside. Inside, there are three cabins with six beds. Its interior resembles more of a luxury apartment than a vessel. Wood, leather, designer beds, huge windows, spacious lounges…
Weighs About 40 Tons and Measures Nearly 21 Meters in Length, but Does Not Fall into the Superyacht Category.

The greatest luxury imaginable in a yacht of its size – not a superyacht, it has more compact dimensions – is present in the Lexus LY680. The central platform of the yacht has been extended by 1.4 meters, featuring a larger sofa and an integrated barbecue. The rear platform – from where we can launch into the water or “anchor” a jet ski – has also grown by 70 cm in length. The deck continues to enjoy a prime position, with more sofas, sunbathing beds, and its own roof.

ANTT authorizes new electronic tolls without barriers on highways in Paraná and Goiás, expands free flow toll collection, and introduces drivers to a new rule that may result in a fine if the toll is not paid on time.
The design of the boat is inspired by the L-finesse design language, with smooth lines, color contrasts, and, overall, a very avant-garde look. The selection of colors and materials for the hull makes it clear that we are dealing with an ultra-luxury product. The propulsion of this LY680 comes from two Volvo Penta engines. Two D13 six-cylinder inline turbodiesel engines, with a displacement of 12.8 liters and up to 1,350 HP of unit power. In total, this yacht can develop an impressive 2,700 HP.
Is Already Available for Order, but Only in the Japanese Market.
Its sale in other markets will be evaluated based on the interest generated. The LY650, equipped with 1,050 HP engines, was already capable of reaching 63 km/h on the water. To fuel these engines, the fuel tank has an impressive capacity of 4,012 liters. If you have to ask the price of this luxury yacht… it’s probably not for you. But if curiosity is high, Lexus is asking five million dollars for the LY680.
