With Purification and Instant Heating Technology, New Model from Xiaomi Features Digital Control, Eliminates Heavy Metals, and Could Revolutionize Water Usage in Connected Kitchens, Promoting Health, Safety, and Practicality in Household Routine.

The Xiaomi, known for its broad portfolio of solutions for connected homes, announced in July 2025 the launch of a new product for the water purification and heating segment: the Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier 1200G.

The model promises to revolutionize the use of smart faucets by combining instant heating technology and advanced purification in a single system.

With the ability to raise water temperature up to 95 °C and eliminate 99.9% of heavy metals, the device attracts the attention of consumers concerned with health and practicality in their daily lives.

According to the Chinese manufacturer, the main innovation of the faucet lies in the integration of the PPC (activated carbon polypropylene) and RO (reverse osmosis) filters, internationally recognized for their effectiveness.

Xiaomi states that the filters have an average lifespan of up to five years, contributing to reducing maintenance costs and ensuring continuous quality in consumption.

The purification process removes not only solid residues but also bacteria and other contaminants commonly found in urban supply networks.

In addition to purification, the product’s highlight is the instant heating system, capable of delivering hot water in seconds without the need for preheating or external reservoirs.

According to Xiaomi, the device reaches 95 °C, allowing for the preparation of hot beverages or performing household tasks that require high temperatures with greater agility.

The hot water flow is 1,000 ml per minute, while the cold water flow reaches 3.18 liters per minute, providing versatility for different uses.

In design, Xiaomi opted for minimalist and functional lines, with a sophisticated finish and a magnetic button positioned at the top of the faucet for quick switching between cold and hot water.

The device also features an integrated digital display, which shows information such as temperature, consumption, and filter status, in addition to allowing precise adjustments via the HyperOS Connect app, compatible with Android and iOS smartphones.

Through the app, it is possible to configure water volume, schedule usage times, and access detailed data about the quality of the filtered water.

The technology embedded in the Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier 1200G utilizes two main stages of filtration.

The PPC filter removes larger particles, while the reverse osmosis filter eliminates heavy metals, bacteria, and microscopic impurities.

“Reverse osmosis filters are widely used in professional systems because they can remove up to 99.9% of metals present in water”, the company states in an official communication.

This efficiency meets international safety standards and enhances protection for users’ health.

Furthermore, the choice of materials for the filters and reservoirs adheres to strict sanitary regulations to avoid secondary contaminations during prolonged use.

The accessories are designed for installation under the sink, optimizing kitchen space and facilitating periodic maintenance.

The set also includes pressure-resistant connectors and smart sensors, which identify when it is necessary to replace the filters to ensure system efficiency.

Differentials of Xiaomi’s Smart Faucet

Among the differences presented are digital temperature adjustment, rapid switching between water modes, and connectivity with the HyperOS ecosystem, which stand out as innovative points.

Unlike other traditional purifiers and heaters, the model launched in 2025 combines all functions into a single product, eliminating the need for separate devices for each purpose.

This factor can represent significant savings and more practicality for consumers interested in smart home technology.

Another relevant aspect is the concern for sustainability.

With prolonged filter lifespan and energy savings promoted by instant heating, Xiaomi aims to reduce the waste of resources common in conventional solutions.

Real-time monitoring of water consumption and quality also contributes to more conscious usage, allowing adjustments according to the profile of the residence or business.

Price and Availability of Xiaomi’s Smart Faucet

The Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier 1200G began to be officially sold in China for the price of CNY 3,999, which is approximately R$ 3,051, according to the exchange rate of July 2025.

So far, there is no forecast for release or official announcement for other countries, including Brazil.

However, the expectation is that products in this segment will begin to have greater global availability due to the growing demand for smart devices and the trend towards digitalization of household environments.

Prospects for the Brazilian Smart Home Market

The smart home segment has been gaining prominence in Brazil in recent years.

Recent data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and industry consultancies indicate that the demand for purifiers, voice assistants, and home automation systems grew by more than 30% between 2023 and 2025.

If Xiaomi decides to bring the smart faucet to the national market, experts assert that the product may attract consumers interested in security, savings, and practicality in their daily lives.

“Brazilian consumers are increasingly attentive to technological solutions that bring real benefits to their household routines”, points out an industry report.

In addition to the technological appeal, issues such as water quality in large cities and the search for energy-efficient equipment are likely to drive the adoption of similar systems.

For now, Xiaomi has not officially stated whether it plans to adapt the model for Brazilian standards of voltage, pressure, and certification, which could be a challenge for the product’s arrival in the country.
