The Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) Opens Positions Through a Selection Process for Tutors, Who Will Work in Extension Courses Offered by the Open University System of Brazil (UAB).

The announcement of the UFT selection process, published under number 99/2024 by the Pro-Rectory of Graduation (Prograd), provides vacancies for qualified professionals, aiming to integrate the teams of the Special Education courses in the Perspective of Inclusive Education, as well as the Training for Teaching and Management in Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations.

Details About the Positions and Requirements

The selection process includes reserve list vacancies and is aimed at tutors who will work in distance learning (EaD) modalities. The remuneration will depend on the budget availability from CAPES. The main requirements include:

Degree in Pedagogy or in Teaching related to the ethnic-racial area;
Minimum experience of 1 year in teaching (basic or higher education);
Knowledge of teaching tools such as moodle and good written communication;
Availability to fulfill a workload of 20 hours per week;
High-speed internet for remote activities.

Candidates also need to participate in and be approved in the CAPES tutoring training course, an essential requirement for carrying out the function.

Vacancies for Tutors: Find Out How to Apply

Applications for the UFT selection process are open until January 15, 2025 and must be made exclusively online, through the Sisma system. The application link is: https://sites.uft.edu.br/proseletivo/tutores-para-cursos-de-extensao-do-sistema-uabuft-20251.

The application fee of R$ 95.00 must be paid via the Union Collection Guide (GRU) within the established deadline.

Important Dates of the Selection Process

Validation of applications: December 24, 2024;
Final result: February 2025.

Tutors selected in the selection process will be subject to periodic performance evaluations and will need to participate in mandatory training related to their functions.

The Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) is a public institution of higher education created by Law 10.032, of 2000, from the federalization of the State University of Tocantins (Unitins), and was officially implemented in 2003.

With the aim of promoting education, research, and outreach, UFT underwent a restructuring in 2019, forming the Federal University of Northern Tocantins (UFNT). Currently, UFT has five campuses (Arraias, Gurupi, Miracema, Palmas, and Porto Nacional) and 19 distance education centers, being present throughout the State of Tocantins and in the Amazon Legal region.
