UFPI Opens Selection Process for Teacher Trainers at CEAD. Applications from 03/18 to 04/01/2025. Check the Requirements and Participate!

The Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), through the Center for Open and Distance Education (CEAD), has announced the opening of a new selection process for the formation of a reserve list of teacher trainers for the Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy.

The selection is linked to the Open University System of Brazil (UAB) and follows all current regulations, ensuring opportunities for qualified professionals.

Details of the Selection Process for Teacher

The process will be conducted by a specific committee, according to the schedule published on the official website of the CEAD/UFPI. The teacher trainer will act as a scholarship holder in the UAB System, without an employment relationship with UFPI.

The offered scholarships are valued at R$ 1,850.00, in accordance with MEC/CAPES Ordinance 309/2024.

The selection aims to create a reserve list for the following curricular components of the Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy:

Education Sociology (60h) – Requirement: Degree in Sociology and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields;

Instrumental English (60h) – Requirement: Degree in English-Portuguese Language and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields;

History of Education (60h) – Requirement: Degree in Pedagogy and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields;

History of Contemporary Philosophy (60h) – Requirement: Degree in Philosophy and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields;

Internship I (75h) and Internship II (75h) – Requirement: Degree in Philosophy and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area;

Basic Legislation (60h) – Requirement: Degree in Pedagogy and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields;

Psychology of Education (60h) – Requirement: Degree in Psychology and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields.

Elective in Philosophy (60h) – Requirement: Degree in Philosophy and stricto sensu graduate studies in the area or related fields.

In addition to the required education, candidates must prove at least one year of experience in higher education teaching.

The selection process ensures the application of the quota system, allocating 20% of the vacancies to self-declared black individuals (black and brown), according to Law 12.990/2014.

Applications and Steps of the Selection Process at UFPI

The applications will be open from March 18 to April 1, 2025, and will be conducted exclusively online. The selection will occur in two stages:

1- Application (eliminatory) – Verification of documentation and mandatory requirements.

2- Curriculum Analysis (classificatory) – Evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications, expertise, and professional experience, according to the criteria in the announcement.

The results will be published on the CEAD/UFPI website, according to the established schedule.

Assignments of the Teacher Trainer

The selected professionals will perform various pedagogical and administrative activities, including:

Didactic planning and content development;

Provision of materials in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA);

Conducting meetings and training sessions with tutors;

Participation in in-person meetings and academic events;

Supervision of internship activities and student guidance.

The teacher trainer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of education in the Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, contributing to the academic development of students.

Calling and Validity of the Announcement

The calling of the approved candidates will depend on the demand of CEAD/UFPI, respecting the order of classification and the rules of the UAB System. The validity of the reserve list will be determined by the period of course offerings.
