The São Paulo State University (Unesp) has released the official calendar for the 2026 Entrance Exam. Applications start on September 4 and run until October 8, 2025.
Interested candidates must register through the website of the Vunesp Foundation (www.vunesp.com.br), the organizer of the selection process.
The first phase of the exam will be held on November 2, a national holiday.

As in previous editions, candidates will have access to the video test in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). The second phase is scheduled for December 7 and 8, with written tests and an essay.
Two-Stage Exams
The Unesp selection process follows the model of recent years. The first phase will consist of multiple-choice questions.
The second phase will consist of 36 written questions and one essay proposal. Only candidates qualified in the first stage will be called for the second.
In 2025, the entrance exam attracted 64,834 candidates across 35 cities. Of these, 31 are located in the State of São Paulo.
The expectation is that the number of participants in 2026 will be similar, maintaining the wide competition for the available spots.
Fee Exemption and Reduction
Requests for exemption and for a 50% reduction in the registration fee must be made in August. Additionally, students in their final year of high school from the São Paulo state public network can request a 75% reduction in the fee.
The conditions and deadlines will be available in the resolution of the 2026 Entrance Exam, expected to be published in August as well.
Unesp reaffirms its commitment to access to public and free higher education, offering alternatives to reduce the costs of the selection process. The university also maintains support programs and free courses aimed at the community.
Vacancies and Cities with Courses
In the last selection process, Unesp offered 6,596 spots for entry in 2025, in addition to 449 additional spots allocated for participants in scientific olympiads.
The courses are offered in 24 cities in the State of São Paulo, including Bauru, Araraquara, São Paulo, Botucatu, Rio Claro, and Franca.
The spots are distributed across various fields of knowledge. The institution also has the Public Basic Education Vacancy Reserve System (SRVEBP), which guarantees at least 50% of the spots for students who completed all their high school in public schools.
Results and More Information
The final result of the Unesp Entrance Exam 2026 will be announced on January 30, 2026. Candidates can follow all information on the websites www.vunesp.com.br and vestibular.unesp.br. Questions can also be directed through the “Contact Us” channel of Vunesp.
