More Than 85% of Technical Course Graduates Are Employed! With High Employment Rates, Areas Such as Telecommunications, Refrigeration, and Energy Are on the Rise.

The job market scenario has changed in recent years, and some professions are more in demand than ever.

But what really makes these sectors stand out and guarantees the employability of so many young people?

The answer may lie in a recent study that reveals a significant increase in the employment rate among graduates of technical courses.

Did you know that more than 85% of graduates from these courses are already employed?

This is an impressive statistic and paves the way for a reflection on the future of work in Brazil. If you still have doubts about which path to take, the following information may be the key to your decision.

According to the Graduate Tracking Research 2022-2024 from the National Service for Industrial Training (Senai), 85.6% of graduates from technical courses are employed.

This is the highest rate since 2002, when the research began, and represents a significant increase compared to previous editions.

The survey, conducted with more than 211,000 former students throughout 2023 and 2024, shows that technical courses have been an excellent gateway to the job market, especially in the industrial sector, which continuously and increasingly demands qualified professionals.

These data reveal the success of an educational model that combines theory with practice.

Technical courses are known for their short duration and direct focus on the needs of the job market, allowing students to quickly qualify and be ready to take on important positions.

This focus on practice and proximity to the job market are decisive factors for the success of this teaching modality.

According to Gustavo Leal, general director of Senai, “It is clear that investing in professional and technological education is essential to build a more solid future.

Senai continuously works to keep up with market trends and offer courses that incorporate the latest innovations, training professionals who learn in practice from the very beginning and are ready to lead industry transformations.”

Leal’s statement reflects Senai’s confidence in the vital role that technical education plays in shaping successful and qualified professionals.

Employability in the Industrial Sector According to Senai

Among the sectors that employ the most professionals trained by Senai, highlight areas such as telecommunications, energy, and metallurgy.

These fields are constantly evolving and require specialized professionals to meet new technological demands.

Companies, in turn, are always looking for people who can meet these demands with competence and agility, characteristics well cultivated during technical courses.

In the field of telecommunications, for example, the employment rate reaches an impressive 98%.

Professionals in this area mainly work as installers and repairers of communication systems, in addition to operators of teleprocessing networks.

The growth of this sector is directly related to the expansion of internet and telephone networks in the country, which require a skilled workforce.

In the pulp and paper sector, the employment rate is 97.5%.

This number is driven by the growing demand for paper products and packaging, which continue to be essential in various industries.

Machine operators, pulp preparers for paper manufacturing, and pulp manufacturing supervisors are just some of the highly sought-after professionals in this sector.

The area of refrigeration and air conditioning, with an employment rate of 95.3%, also stands out, especially due to the expansion of companies that need these professionals to install and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Extreme heat and the need for controlled environments make this area one of the most valued in today’s job market.

Another sector with great potential for employability is energy, where the insertion rate in the job market is 91.7%.

Professionals who operate electricity distribution installations have been increasingly in demand, especially with the growing investment in renewable energy sources and the expansion of electrical infrastructure in Brazil.

Salary Appreciation

Another important point highlighted by the research was the increase in the average income of graduates from technical courses.

Based on the collected data, it was possible to verify that the average salary of graduates, after completing the course, reaches approximately R$ 2,508, which is equivalent to nearly two minimum wages.

This average salary alone demonstrates how these professionals are standing out in the market, with a considerable appreciation compared to the salary earned during the course.

The increase in income is a direct reflection of the high demand for qualified professionals and the scarcity of skilled labor in many of these areas.

This salary growth is also directly linked to the increase in formal job vacancies.

About 75% of graduates from technical courses hold formal positions and have signed work contracts, a formalization rate that represents an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous year.

Technical Courses as a Key to the Future

Investing in professional and technical education is undoubtedly one of the greatest steps to ensure a prosperous future.

The survey data makes it clear that by opting for technical courses, young people have access to high employability and a good salary, with the advantage of a practical education that prepares them quickly and effectively for the challenges of the job market.

If you are unsure about which path to take, investing in a technical course may be the best choice to ensure immediate and well-paid placement.

Have technical courses become more advantageous compared to degree courses? What do you think about this, reader?
