Welberth Rezende, Mayor of Macaé, announced on May 27, on his social profile, great news for professionals in the region. According to Rezende, the multinational John Cockerill — one of the largest engineering, services, and infrastructure companies in the world, has big plans for the city and intends to set up a locomotive factory. The expectation is that this new venture will generate many job opportunities in the oil city.
Furthermore, according to the mayor, the company John Cockerill — based in Belgium with a base installed in Macaé, will also conduct a feasibility study aiming at the operation of the VLT. In other words, many opportunities for growth and employment for the municipality emerged from this meeting.
