92 Positions in the Army Competition for Admission to the IME High School Courses

There are 80 positions available for active military personnel (designated for those who wish to pursue a career in the Armed Forces) and 12 for reserve (aimed at those who do not plan to remain in the organization).

The positions are open to candidates of both genders with a high school education and a minimum age of 16 years (as of December 31, 2022, the year of enrollment). The maximum age is 21 years for reserves and 22 years for active duty.

• Communications Engineering;
• Computer Engineering;
• Electrical Engineering;
• Electronic Engineering;
• Production Engineering;
• Fortification and Construction Engineering (Civil Engineering), Mechanical Engineering (distributed between Mechanical Engineering and Armament Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering);
• Metallurgical Engineering.

Basic Requirements to Compete for the Positions

• Completion of a full Engineering degree from an officially recognized Higher Education Institution by the time of enrollment;
• Minimum height of 1.60 m for male candidates or, if female, a minimum height of 1.55 m;
• At most, 26 years of age by January 1 to December 31 of the year of enrollment.
• Upon entering CFrm, the candidate acquires the status of military and student of the Basic Military Training Course of the QEM (CBFM/QEM) and, if approved in this course, is enrolled in the Specific Training Course of the QEM (CFE/QEM).

Applications must be made through the IME website between July 15 and August 31, 2021. The application fee is R$ 100.00.
