A memorandum of understanding was signed with the state government in March 2022, aiming for the feasibility of a port-industry that will encompass offshore wind turbine projects and green hydrogen production.
Rio Grande do Norte, the national leader in installed onshore wind energy capacity, with an impressive 6.6 gigawatts, also has significant offshore potential, estimated at over 140 gigawatts, according to Governor Fátima Bezerra.
