For this wind energy project with Casa dos Ventos, Vestas developed a customized solution, featuring V150-4.2 MW wind turbines, some delivered at 4.3 MW and others at 4.5 MW Power Optimized Mode to maximize the site’s energy production, ensuring the lowest cost of energy for the energy consumer.
Casa dos Ventos, one of the pioneers and largest investors in the development of wind energy projects in Brazil, made an order for 534 MW for the second phase of the Rio do Vento complex, located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The extension will add 504 MW to the first phase of the project with Vestas that is under construction, and the combined complex of over 1 GW will be the largest wind farm in Latin America to date.
