Wind Energy in Brazil on the Rise: Vestas Receives Order of 409 MW from the Joint Venture between Votorantim Energia and Canadian Fund CPP Investments

Vestas received an order of 409 MW from the joint venture between Votorantim Wind Energy and the Canadian fund CPP Investments for sustainable energy projects in Ventos do Piauí II and Ventos do Piauí III, in Serra do Inácio, in the state of Piauí, Brazil involving wind energy.

A report by Energía Limpia XXI states that Vestas has surpassed 10 GW in firm order intake for its new V150-4.2 MW turbines globally, and with this order, Vestas has secured nearly 3.5 GW of sustainable energy orders for the turbine variant in Brazil, underscoring that the V150-4.2 MW perfectly adapts to the country’s wind conditions.
