Volkswagen Wants to Sue Chinese Automaker for Brazenly Producing An Electric Copy of The Iconic Beetle
The multinational Volkswagen is not pleased at all with the electric car manufacturer ORA. The Chinese industry has not abandoned some old habits, as the Chinese manufacturer introduced a clone of the Beetle at the Shanghai Auto Show, named ORA Punk Cat; the vehicle has the same features as the iconic car from the German automaker VW.
It is evident that ORA was inspired – to say the least, it blatantly copied – the features of the Volkswagen Beetle in its new Punk Cat. The curved design hood, round headlights, and the shape of the rear, complete with oval taillights, hark back to the old beetle.
After Chevrolet and Ford, The Multinational Fiat Suspends Vehicle Production in Its Factory and Places 1,900 Employees on Collective Vacation
After the departure of the Ford automaker from Brazil, the global supply crisis has reached the Fiat automaker, and the automotive industry in the country may collapse. This, along with the pandemic, has led automobile factories like Chevrolet, Honda, Audi (Volkswagen), Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz, Renault, and Nissan to suspend vehicle production.
At the time, the multinationals Chevrolet, Volkswagen, and Fiat treated the situation as a suspension and not a permanent halt to production in Brazil.
The automaker did not disclose the number of vehicles that will cease production or the models most affected by this stoppage. In March, Fiat also had to halt production for the same reason.
