Advertising Giant Brings Together 4,000 Professionals and 21 Agencies in New 39,000 m2 Campus in São Paulo, Establishing Vila Leopoldina as a Hub of Innovation, AI, and Unprecedented Collaboration with Partners Like Netflix and Globo.

WPP, one of the largest advertising and communication holdings in the world, has made a significant strategic move in the Brazilian market. On Tuesday (11), the WPP Vila was inaugurated, the first campus of the group in Brazil and, notably, the largest in all of Latin America. This complex of 39,000 m2 is not just a new office, but a materialization of the global WPP strategy to promote collaboration, technology, and artificial intelligence in the industry.

The new 39,000 m2 campus in São Paulo is located in the Vila Leopoldina neighborhood, in the western zone of São Paulo. It unifies four thousand professionals from 21 renowned agencies, including names like Ogilvy, VML, Fbiz, Grey, and Burson, at a single address. The proposal, as detailed by the b9 Portal, the primary source of this news, is to transform this area into a vibrant and cooperative ecosystem, raising the standard of national creative production and serving as a center of excellence in one of the most dynamic and creative markets on the planet.

The Concept “WPP Vila”: Uniting Agencies and Talent

Named to evoke local culture, “WPP Vila,” the project aims to translate the idea of Brazilian villages, where proximity and shared spaces encourage joint building and collaboration among neighbors. According to the launch campaign, cited by b9, the WPP logo itself has been visually reinterpreted, with its points transformed into “neighbors” connected by lines symbolizing the continuous and creative flow among the housed agencies.

More than just a simple change of address, this new 39,000 m2 campus in São Paulo embodies WPP’s vision. “WPP Vila is more than an office: it is a vibrant ecosystem and a temple of creativity, where the global strength of WPP meets Brazilian talent,” stated Stefano Zunino, country manager of WPP in Brazil. The physical merging of teams aims to break traditional barriers, optimizing synergy among different specialties (advertising, public relations, media, etc.) and encouraging a multidisciplinary approach to solving communication challenges for clients.

The Novelty of the Partner Lounge and Connection with Giants

One of the most innovative and strategic aspects of WPP Vila, highlighted by the b9 Portal, is the Partner Lounge. This area is a unique novelty in the holding’s global network and symbolizes a new way of collaboration with clients and platforms. In the lounge, influential strategic partners like Amazon Ads, Netflix, Globo, Mercado Ads, and 20 others will have permanent rooms and workstations.

The central proposal is bold: these partners will not be mere visitors or traditional clients, but rather integral parts of the WPP ecosystem. This continuous and physical proximity is expected to accelerate processes, create more personalized solutions, and foster ongoing innovation, especially at the intersection of creativity, data, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence technology. WPP’s global CEO, Cindy Rose, emphasized that the WPP Vila “symbolizes our commitment to the country and to AI-enabled growth,” indicating that the technological focus is a pillar of this new structure.

The Design and Architecture Focused on Collaboration

The architectural project of the 39,000 m2 campus in São Paulo, designed by Gustavo Utrabo and developed by Brookfield Properties, was conceived to be a direct contrast to the traditional model of corporate towers, which tend to be isolated and vertical. The choice was for a horizontal architecture, focused on open areas and coexistence.

Auditoriums open directly to the outdoor square, and gardens are integrated into the hallways, promoting a more fluid and less hierarchical work environment. This structure not only facilitates circulation and interaction among the 4,000 professionals from different agencies but also seeks to integrate the complex with the Vila Leopoldina community, through an active façade that connects the building to the streets. This answers the question of where and why WPP invested in this model: in São Paulo, seeking a space that stimulates technical innovation and breaks the rigidity of old work formats.

The inauguration of WPP Vila, the largest 39,000 m2 campus in São Paulo in Latin America, marks a turning point in the Brazilian advertising market. It answers fundamental questions about who (WPP and its 21 agencies) and how much (an investment in 39,000 m2 of space and technology) has been mobilized to create an unprecedented collaborative hub. The project reinforces WPP’s commitment to local talent and the adoption of AI, as reported by b9, and establishes a new standard for integration of strategic clients in the daily creation process.
