Hiring individuals from different academic backgrounds, not necessarily related to the financial market, has always been a recurring theme in XP Investimentos’ history. Over the years, advisors who made up the team were, for example, chemists, dentists, and lawyers, in addition to economists and administrators.
What XP is now doing is structuring and formalizing the recruitment for new job openings with this premise. Entitled XP Future, the program will consist of 60 professionals from various fields to work as investment advisors linked to XP.

Atacadão will open a colossal store with job vacancies for positions such as cashier, stock clerk, and butcher, offering 220 immediate opportunities, plus 85 extra in the sector, with an in-person selection process and imminent inauguration in Santos.
Renan Vilaça, a professional in the B2C service area who joined XP from the foreign trade sector, explains the project for new jobs: “The goal is to structure everything that was done informally. At XP, what counts is the talent and willingness of the professional, regardless of their field or age,” says Renan.
He also emphasizes that no prior knowledge of investments is required to fill the vacancies, and professionals from any field can apply. “There are two specific groups: young people finishing college and experienced professionals looking to change careers. Everyone will be trained at XP with market immersion and two months of intense training.”
Profile Sought by XP Investimentos for Job Openings
The selection process for securing a job in the XP Future program has been designed to identify candidates with a skill set to relate in groups and a curiosity about the world of investments and the financial market in general. The vacancies are distributed across six cities: Manaus (AM), Rio de Janeiro (capital), Niterói (RJ), Uberlândia (MG), Sorocaba (SP), and São José dos Campos, also in São Paulo.
The training program designed for professionals will include not only technical topics but, for the first time, modules to teach how to prospect accounts within their social circles and establish a work routine.
Additionally, those selected will receive an entry “award” of up to R$ 20 thousand. According to Vilaça, the funds serve as a form of assistance for those transitioning careers who may need capital and also to allow those from humble backgrounds to invest in what is necessary to start the job. The representative further stated that all advisors selected in XP Future will be hired by XP Investimentos under the CLT framework and will receive semiannual bonuses.
How to Participate in the Selection Process for Job Openings at XP
The selection process begins on 11/24, and registrations can be made on the project website. In the first phase, those registered will undergo two tests, one cultural and another on sales archetypes, both weighted at 50%, but they are not eliminatory stages.
In addition, candidates will need to submit two videos, one introducing themselves and another responding to “how they would convince someone to invest the money of their life with them, who has just started in the financial market,” explained Renan Vilaça.
Those who advance to the second phase will participate in a face-to-face stage, where they will have interviews and solve case studies.
