2,000 Free Language Course Spots Offered This 26th By The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC)

Registrations for Free Courses Go Until January 25, 2022

The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) will offer free professional qualification and language courses. Participants will be selected through a public lottery for more than 2,000 slots. The free courses will be taught in the first semester of 2022 and have opportunities for different education levels, in both face-to-face and distance learning formats.

The professional qualification courses (initial and continuing education) are of short duration, focusing on training and professional improvement. The free courses with available slots are listed in the Public Announcement 12/2022-1, which is the document that provides information about the selection process for qualification courses.

The free language courses are also professional qualification courses. The available slots are detailed in the Public Announcement 13/2022-1, covering options for English, Spanish, and Portuguese for Foreigners.

Registrations

All registrations are online. For the professional qualification courses (Public Announcement 12/2022-1) and the level 1 language courses (Public Announcement 11/2022-1) can be made until January 25, 2022, through the IFSC Registration Portal.

Level of Classes

For candidates who already have prior knowledge of the language they wish to study, they must take a  placement test, according to the information published in the announcement. Additionally, they must submit the necessary documentation to enroll directly via the respective campus link between February 9 and 14, 2022. The information to take the placement tests is available in Annex I of the Public Announcement 13/2022-1.

Conservationist Meliponiculture and Pneumatic and Electropneumatic Circuits (Basic) each have 40 slots available 

Meanwhile, the Portuguese for Foreigners courses – modules 2, 3, and 4 have 25 slots available each.
