Eneva receives authorization from ANP to integrate the Sergipe Hub into the TAG network, becoming the first connected private agent. Start of supply to UTE Termopernambuco this month.

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has authorized Eneva, Brazil's leading private natural gas operator and power generator, to connect the Sergipe Hub to TAG's gas pipeline network. This connection marks Eneva as the first private agent to integrate into the infrastructure of company's gas pipelines.

Starting this month, the supply of natural gas to UTE Termopernambuco will begin, according to the contract signed with Eneva. The integration of the Sergipe Hub into the TAG system also includes the use of the LNG Terminal, which further enhances the logistics and distribution of gas in the region. This authorization represents an important milestone for the private energy sector in Brazil..

The LNG Terminal, known as Hub Sergipe, located in the municipality of Barra dos Coqueiros, in Sergipe, was connected to TAG mesh. With this connection, the company establishes itself as the first private agent to integrate into the country's gas transportation network, reinforcing its position in the sector.

New Stage for the Sergipe Hub

One of the supply contracts associated with the Sergipe Hub makes it possible to contract anticipation capacity reserve agreement (CRCAP) of UTE Termopernambuco, valid from October 2024 to June 2026. Through this agreement, Termopernambuco has the possibility of requesting up to 2.400.000 m³ of natural gas per day from Eneva, in a 100% flexible modality.

Important Advance in Business Plan

The implementation of this contract in flexible modality, which ensures the availability guarantee and supply, represents an important step forward in Eneva’s business plan. This action expands the company’s client portfolio by offering innovative solutions for the natural gas market, using the infrastructure of the Sergipe Hub, in addition to contributing significantly to the energy security national.

Sergipe Hub: Floating and Thermoelectric Unit

Located in the metropolitan region of Aracaju, the well-known Hub Sergipe is made up of a floating storage unit and natural gas regasification (FSRU) with a capacity of 21 million m³/day and the Celse thermoelectric plant, capable of generating up to 1,6 GW, using around 6 million m³/day of natural gas.

Optimizing On Grid Operations

In Brazil, the optimization of natural gas operations connected to the network is managed by the transport networks operated by carriers NTS, TBG and TAG, which are responsible for mesh management of gas pipelines, covering an area that goes from the South to the Northeast of Brazil, ensuring the energy integration in the national territory.

Eneva: Leader in Energy Solutions

Eneva is an integrated energy company, operating from exploration and production to the provision of energy solutions. It stands out as the largest operator Brazil's largest private natural gas company, with assets in several states. The company is responsible for the operation of 14 natural gas fields located in the Parnaíba (MA) and Amazonas (AM) Basins, totaling more than 63 thousand km² of concession area, the largest in the country.

Contracted Capacity and Thermal Power Plants

With a generation park that offers 5,95 GW of contracted capacity, Eneva includes thermoelectric plants in the states of Maranhão, Ceará, Sergipe, Roraima, in addition to the Futura Solar Complex in Bahia, which began operations in 2023. This important advancement in the energy sector further strengthens the company's position and its commitment to energy security and integration of energy solutions in Brazil.
